The Capital Branch of APWA is seeking nominations for Individual and Project Awards completed in 2021. Please note, we are planning an in-person banquet on February 11, 2021 at the Edison Club in Rexford, unless the pandemic situation changes over the next few months. Please feel free to share this information with your coworkers and contacts as well. This is a great opportunity to get some recognition for your projects, clients and coworkers!
The nomination forms are attached for your use, with banquet information to shortly follow. Completed nomination forms and any supporting documents should be returned to me (preferably via email) by Friday, January 8, 2021. Awards will be presented to recipients at the Capital Branch APWA Awards Banquet. Recipients will also be eligible for the State-level awards to follow.
There are 21 total categories for project nominations, including:
-Disaster or Emergency Construction/Repair
- Self-Performance (this is a new category for the Capital Branch only for projects self performed by the Public Works agency, it can be for any project value. Since this is just for the Capital Branch, this category will not be eligible for State or National Awards)
Within each category are divisions for overall project cost:
-Less than $5 Million
-$5 Million to less than $25 Million
-$25 Million to $75 Million
-More than $75 Million
In addition to Project Awards, there are also 22 Individual Award Categories. The categories are described in the attached Individual Nomination form.
