The Genesee Valley Branch represents Public Works entities in Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans and Wayne Counties. The Branch's name comes from the Genesee River that flows north through the region into the City of Rochester on its way to Lake Ontario. The region has a population of over one million residents that demand outstanding Public Works!
The Genesee Valley Branch has over 100 members making it the largest branch in upstate New York, although it is the smallest geographically. The Branch's premier event is the annual banquet and awards ceremony that is held each January. Other events include monthly lunch meetings, social gatherings and co-sponsorship of events with other professional societies. The Genesee Valley Branch encourages local municipalities to issue a proclamation each year supporting National Public Works Week.
